Battle of Trebbia

July 17-19thth, 1799

The Map Rules

Recently upgraded by author [HWK]Foxhound, this stunningly beautiful Italian landscape of rolling hills, peaceful villages, rich fields, vineyards and gentle streams is the setting for a vicious struggle that could turn the tables on the recently victorious French army. An allied force (green) of Austrian and Russian troops, under the command of the notable Russian general Suvarov, seeks to force its way across the Trebbia River and destroy the French Republican army (blue) along with its large Polish contingent. The Poles have crossed against the Allied right but are being seriously threatened by the closing Russian forces and nearby Cossacks. The Trebbia River offers several crossing points of both shallows and bridges for the Austro-Russian force which is on the attack. There are no map rules or objectives. No upgrades allowed.
